It was our 12th wedding anniversary on June 1st, so we went our for dinner.
One of our friend recommended the Persian restaurant, "Zafron on Brunswick" in New Farm. (not for the anniversary, just for general use), so we tried out.
It was very busy on Friday night. Our table was at outside terrace with clear curtains on, which was not a fantastic look, but we enjoyed our food.
Mediteraanean dip platter was specially good. All three dips, artichoke & fig, yogurt & tahini, and roasted capsicum & macadamia were so yummy.
For the main, we ordered some sort of stew, which were tasty, very rich and sweet. The descriptions of the dishes were all appealing and it was hard to decide. Actually I had red meat for the first time since I come back to Australia. (I have been avoiding red meat since I got pregnant).
We were too full to order dessert, so we just ordered drinks.
This is Persian Chai (no milk). It has a scent of rose but tasted like Earl grey tea.
結婚12周年の記念に、ニューファームにあるペルシャ料理のお店、Zafron on Brunswickに行ってきました。特に記念日に使うような高級なお店ではないのですが、友達がおいしいと薦めてくれたお店なので試してみました。
金曜日の夜だったので、ほぼ予約でいっぱいのようでした。私達の席は外のテラス席で、透明のビニールのカーテン（雨・風よけ）がかかってて、おしゃれではないのですが、料理はおいしかったです。
特に前菜のディップの盛り合わせが気に入りました。なかでもめずらしいなと思ったのがアーティチョークといちじくのディップ。ほんのり甘くておいしかったです。
メインはシチュー料理を頼みました。若干甘めのカレーのような感じ。うまみがあって、濃厚で、スパイスがぎっしり煮込まれているような味。
お腹いっぱいだったのでデザートはパスで、わたしはペルシャのチャイを注文しました。バラの香がするチャイです。味はアールグレイのよう。
結婚13年目は、赤ちゃんも生まれる予定で、私達にとって特別な年になりそうです。
そばにいて当たり前と思っている旦那さんの存在に感謝しつつ、これからもお互い仲良くやっていけたらなと思っています。
